The 5 layer door is an exclusive element of the Granger ISS underground tornado shelter. The multiple layers offer industry leading protection not found on any other underground tornado shelter. The exterior panel is available in a variety of colors while the interior of the door is white as is the body of the unit for maximum light reflection. The door comes standard with a gas shock system for easier entry and exit, three interior locks for ultimate security and easy spot, easy grab handles for the safest operation. The rotationally molded polyethylene body of this tornado shelter features double wall construction offering the most durable shelter design available. The 1/2" outside and 1/2" interior walls are filled with VOC exempt dimensionally safe foam. This assures exceptional rigidity, uncomplicated installation in practically any scenario as well as offers superior condensation resistance. This allows for the Granger ISS to be installed in many locations that other shelters may be restricted by such issues as high water tables, different soil conditions or tight areas.
